Premium Holder Ham - Segovia
Premium Holder Ham - Segovia
A ham stand is not an accessory — it is the tool that makes a whole leg usable. It clamps the piece so the blade runs flat along the muscle instead of digging in, which is the difference between paper-thin slices and torn chunks. 100% natural wood, with a premium rotational system so you can turn the leg to the other face without unclamping it.
Do I need a stand, or is this optional?
If you bought a bone-in piece — a jamón or a paleta with the bone in — you need a stand. There is no safe way to hold a 12 lb leg steady on a worktop while drawing a long flexible knife towards your hand.
If you bought a boneless piece, you do not: a deboned block carves on a cutting board. That is the main practical reason people choose boneless.
What the rotational system adds: a whole leg has two faces. Without rotation you unclamp, flip and re-clamp a heavy, half-carved piece every time you switch sides.
Stand on its own, or bundled with the ham?
If you have not bought the leg yet, a bundle is almost always cheaper than buying the two separately.
